We covered every street of Sec-56 colonies and slums. We formed 2 teams consisiting of 5 members each and started the campaign at 12pm sharp. We did campaigning till4 pm and the at 5 pm started the “JANSABHA”
Today we asked hundreds of people to get a “VACHAN PATRA” signed from their contesting candidate that he/she will adhere to his/her responsibilities like:
o He/she will declare their progress report every 6 months
o After one year they will disclose their development report alongwith money allotted for development, how that money was spent and purchase details
o He/she will do a “JANMAT” for him asking for the satisfaction of people with his/her work. If he/she doesn’t get more than 50% votes, then that VACHAN PATRA will be considered as his/her TYAG PATRA
o Also if he/she doesn’t get that “JANMAT” done every year, even then that VACHAN PATRA will be considered as his/her TYAG PATRA
Two more points have been added in VACHAN PATRA now
· He/she will divide his/her constituency into 4 parts and he/she will do JANSABHA in those parts once in 3 months. He/she will listen to the problems and will tell them about the resolution of issues raised by people with specified time limits.
· Before filing the nomination and thereafter if he/she wins, will declare their wealth, property and income details every year.
People in large numbers attended the meeting. A large group of women also participated and 100% people agreed to get “VACHAN PATRA” signed from their candidates. We also appeal people to associate with IAC Chandigarh Team and work for the prosperity of society and nation.
